Wall and Path Works at Spier's
The Friends of Spiers have recognised the long term efforts of NAC Ranger Service volunteer Derek Graham by erecting a celebratory plaque on the Spier's boundary wall near the Broadstone Arch.
Derek has been working regulalry with the NAC Garnock Valley Ranger for over a year on projects such as boundary wall repairs and hedge restoration. Spier's has nearly a kilometre of walls which were in need of over £100,000 of repairs. Derek has done a great deal of work on these Grade C Listed structures in co-operation with the efforts of the Friends of Spiers.
The Redburn Activity Agreement Group have returned with their leaders Stewart and Maureen, creating a new path and resurfacing an existing one first created by James Watt College students and their then leader, Jonathon Briggs.
