Spring at the Marshalland Well
Iain, a volunteer with the NAC Ranger Service, has started work at the site of the Marshalland Burn source within Spier's Old School Grounds, constructing a 'well head' feature where the spring emerges and digging detritus and silt out of the old pond.
The site has been a good habitat for frogs and toads since the days of the old school and the works underway now will ensure that amphibians continue to breed and feed here successfully.
