New Speir / Spier family website

Nancy Speir-Bieske of the USA has set up a family history / genealogy website at www.speirfamily.org with details of Spier's School, the Speir/Spier family and many other related topics. A copy of the old Spier's School dedication speech by R. W. Cochran-Patrick of Ladyland and Woodside is on the site and this reveals a number of historical facts related to Beith and the Garnock Valley, in particular the fact that the Spier's of Marshalland and Cuff came from Kersland Mill near Glengarnock. Nancy welcomes any information about the Speir/Spier family and their connection with Beith in particular and Scotland in general.
