Jubilee Woods project- Garnock Valley's trees

by Jacki Bennett
  • GVAA members tree planting event

Hardy diggers turned out at the Garnock Valley Allotment site  to brave the weather on Easter Monday morning to help plant trees and shrubs awarded to the project by the Woodland Trust as part of the national programme of tree planting to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee. This planting will help to establish barrier hedging of dog rose and blackthorn interspaced with crab apple, hazel and elder trees.

Roger Griffith says

Well done. Good to see other folk planting trees for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee
