Happy birthday to Beith High Church

Let's all wish a big happy birthday to Beith High Church, 200 years old on August 19, 2010.

Building work began on the church in March 1807 and it opened for worship on August 19, 1810. You can read a bit more about the church's history here.

Local MSP Kenneth Gibson has put forward a motion that the Scottish Parliament congratulate the church on its anniversary.You can read the full text of it on the Parliament's website. The motion was supported by MSPs Brian Adam, Stuart McMillan, Angela Constance, Dave Thompson, Bill Kidd, Willie Coffey.
