Friends of Spiers celebrate their success

Councillor and chair of the Spier's Trust, John Bell, has unveiled a plaque to celebrate the successful launch of the Friends of Spiers (FoS).

The group has over fourty members and has a regular turnout of at least ten members to the committee meetings and workdays. The NAC Garnock Valley Ranger works closely with FoS and a recent initiative has been an involvement with the Sustainable Return on Investment (SROI) project, sponsored by Scottish Natural Heritage. FoS is one of only four groups in Scotland participating in SROI.
