Busy bees at Gateside Primary School
Sections of hollow bamboo serve as the ideal site for the bees, kept dry in sections of biodegradeable 'tree' tubes, safely attached to trees and shrubs. The pupils will be keeping a close eye on the success of this, their latest biodiversity enhancement and conservation measure.
The NAC Ranger Service from Eglinton Country Park and Ian Buchanan from the Beith Community Council helped pupils and school staff with this project.
